Join Alice on a magical reading adventure in the faraway land of speech sounds…

Alice has just moved to a new school and wants to join the dance team- but in order to be considered for a slot she has to improve her reading skills. When Alice encounters a Fairy Reading Genie in her toy box, she is swept into a wondrous world ruled by the evil Wicko, a villain, who threatens to keep letters and their sounds from children forever.

The clock is ticking as Alice hears new sounds and learns the movements and letters that represent them, then uses phonics clues to solve mystery puzzles –in order to save the sound world and learn to read at the same time.

With hard work, determination, and friends…anything is possible!

Watch Alice develop increased phonemic awareness as she learns to dance out speech sounds through Phonics Fantasy Dance ™ a novel multi-sensory approach to reading success. This unique approach to learning combines West African and Caribbean dance with phonics in which words are danced out blending sounds and syllables.

This multi-cultural extravaganza features a full-scale performance, an elaborate musical score, humorous dialogue, plot twists, and an African percussionist. Graphics and animation are included in this live performance, maximizing the learning experience of the relationships between speech sounds and the letters that represent them.
